Iron Cage came on board with this successful consulting company to hire and manage a new sales team
Emma Greyson is a successful entrepreneur and business consultant. She had previously hired a sales team to take on all of the outbound calls in her company, but she had many issues with their performance, staff not doing what they were trained to do, and the team overall not making money for the business. This caused huge issues as Emma was spending much of her valuable time trying to put out fires with the team, as well as having to run her business and deliver to her clients. Before working with Iron Cage, Emma fired her team and had gone back to making all the sales in the business herself.
Emma’s biggest issue for us to solve was that she was trying to balance her work as CEO of a very successful company, with having to make all outbound sales herself. So, our biggest priority was to get her at least one sales person hired and trained up ASAP, so that some of the pressure was taken off her.
We started by using our well-tested recruitment process — we know how to appeal to sales people, and we know how to interview them so that we only get the best. We were able to hire three new sales people for Emma who were really excited to be on board with such a dynamic company.
These sales people are now both making sales and booking appointments for Emma. We manage these sales people to strict KPIs and performance manage them if they fail to meet them. We also provide them with ongoing training, including weekly sales meetings. And all sales people use our scripting software, which means we are tracking 31 metrics on every call, for every sales person. We send Emma reports at the end of each week so she can see exactly how the team is performing.
Now Emma has gone from being overwhelmed by making all the sales as well as running her business, to having a well-oiled team that she doesn’t have to manage, who are adding huge amounts of value to her business. And she is free to focus on being the CEO of a successful company and forwarding her career.
