Emre Deniz is a multi-award winning games, interactive media and technology developer based in New Zealand, responsible for founding Opaque Space and the Earthlight franchise, and delivering projects in a range of industries spanning defense, enterprise simulations and astronautical training.
In the past 8+ years, Emre has been involved as a Project Manager, Game Designer and Business Analyst in various VR/AR productions with clients and collaborators ranging from NASA, Boeing, United States Air Force, HTC Vive, Epic Games, Microsoft, Google and the Australian Defence Force.
After winning multiple industry awards in 2017 and 2018 for his Serious Games work, Emre oversaw the invention of the ‘Adaptive Intelligent Virtual Assessor’, which went onto secure commercial contracts for XR training in both the Australian Defense Force and the United States Air Force.
Through 2019 to 2020, he was the Studio and Development Director at the New Zealand-based Independent studio ‘Mayday’, as well as a sitting board member of the New Zealand Game Developers Association with a focus on Government initiatives around education curriculum changes for students heading into the workforce.
Emre is currently studying his Masters in Business Information Systems whilst undertaking contract work for Business Development and Project Management alongside his work in the NZGDA.
